COMMON QUESTIONS

Cover Letter Maker: useful answers

Is the cover letter download free?

Yes. All three cover letter layouts and PDF downloads are free, without a watermark or account.

Does this tool write my letter with AI?

No. You write and edit the text. The example demonstrates a structure; replace it with accurate details about your own work and the job.

Can I match my CV?

Use the same accent colour and paper size as your Handyfolio CV. Signed-in users can copy their name and contact details from a saved CV or reusable profile. This does not change the CV.

Can I save different letters?

Sign in to save separate named letters in My cover letters. Free accounts can save two letters and Pro accounts twenty-five. Saving is explicit; editing an existing letter does not automatically upload changes.

How long should a cover letter be?

Aim for a focused letter that fits one page, unless the employer asks for another length. Longer letters automatically flow onto additional pages.

What file formats can I download?

Download a PDF with selectable text, embedded fonts and clickable valid contact links. Word export and importing existing PDF or Word documents are not supported. Latin and Cyrillic text are supported; right-to-left scripts are not supported yet.
