About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Handyfolio at handyfolio.com and its related tool API. Handyfolio is operated by KKSDev (“we”, “us” or “our”). Contact us at hello@kksdev.com.
By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent that an agreement is formed under applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply together with the Privacy Policy, which explains our information practices.
You must have the legal capacity to agree to these terms. If local law requires a parent or guardian’s permission, use the service only with that permission and oversight. The service is not directed to children under 13.
The service and its limits
Handyfolio provides online utilities such as CV creation, image compression, search-result previews and website-file checks. Public tools currently work without an account. Accounts, where available, provide sign-in and profile features and, where enabled, private cloud CV saving through My CVs.
Current public tools and PDF downloads are free. We do not currently offer paid subscriptions or checkout. If paid features are introduced, their prices, limits, billing, cancellation and any applicable refund terms will be presented before purchase.
We may maintain, update, change or retire features. Availability, supported formats, file sizes, request limits and results can change. We may apply limits to protect the service and other users. These terms do not promise permanent availability of a particular feature.
Your content and generated files
You retain your rights in the CV content, images, website content and other material you provide. Using Handyfolio does not transfer ownership of that material to KKSDev.
You give us only the permission needed to process material you send to our servers and return the results you request. Browser-only processing of CVs and images does not upload those contents to us. Choosing a cloud save explicitly sends the CV to your account for storage and later editing. We do not claim the right to publish your CV or images because you used a tool.
You may use downloaded CVs, processed images and reports for personal or commercial purposes to the extent you have the necessary rights in the underlying content and comply with relevant third-party licences. You are responsible for the accuracy of your inputs, permissions to use material, and your use of the resulting files.
Do not submit material you are not entitled to process, or private credentials, confidential URLs, access tokens or unnecessarily sensitive personal information. Obtain appropriate permission before providing someone else’s personal information.
Acceptable use
Use Handyfolio lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, private networks, servers or other people’s information.
- Bypass rate limits, security controls, access restrictions or service limitations.
- Use automation or requests in a way that overloads, disrupts or damages the service or other websites.
- Submit malicious, unlawful, deceptive or infringing material, impersonate others, or misrepresent your qualifications.
- Use website checks to facilitate unauthorized scanning, credential theft or other abusive activity.
Security research or a concern about Handyfolio can be reported privately to hello@kksdev.com. Do not access or disclose other users’ information when investigating an issue.
Accounts and account closure
When you choose Google sign-in, you authorize the basic identity information needed to create or access your Handyfolio account. You are responsible for securing your Google account, your devices and access to your Handyfolio session. Do not use another person’s account without authorization.
Provide accurate account information and contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access. Sign out on shared devices. You can delete your Handyfolio account through the account page where available; deletion may require a recent sign-in.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, investigate a security issue, respond to a legal obligation or address a material breach of these terms. Where practical and appropriate, we will give notice or an opportunity to address the issue.
Closing an account deletes its saved account CVs but does not remove browser drafts or exported files stored on your devices. Account creation does not automatically back up or synchronize browser drafts; cloud saves occur only when you choose them.
Results are tools, not guarantees
Review every output before relying on it. Reports can be incomplete or affected by blocked requests, website changes, different crawler behaviour, browser limitations or third-party systems.
CV formatting and selectable-text PDFs do not guarantee successful parsing by every applicant tracking system, an ATS score, an interview or a job. Website checks do not guarantee indexing, search placement, traffic or advertising revenue. Search previews are illustrations; search engines may display a different result.
Image processing may change quality, metadata, colour or file size. Keep your original files and inspect the output. Tools are provided for general assistance and do not replace appropriate professional advice or your own checks.
Save your work
Browser storage can be cleared, blocked, evicted or lost when devices or browsers change. Undo/redo history is temporary and ends when the editor is reloaded or closed; clearing the CV draft also removes it.
Download a draft JSON or exported file if you need to keep your work. Browser-only drafts and images are not backed up by Handyfolio. Cloud saving is not a guarantee against data loss; retain your own downloaded copies of important CVs. We cannot restore a local draft that was never uploaded to our servers.
Third-party sites and services
Google sign-in, hosting providers, linked websites and sites you ask us to check are separate services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their activities. We do not control their availability, content or decisions.
A link or a generated website report is not an endorsement. Requesting a public URL through Handyfolio does not grant you permission to bypass that website’s restrictions or use its content unlawfully.
Handyfolio’s site and branding
Handyfolio’s name, branding, interface, original site content and software are owned by KKSDev or used under licence. You may use the site and its tools for their intended purposes, subject to these terms.
These terms do not grant ownership of our branding or a right to misrepresent an affiliation with Handyfolio. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their respective licences. This section does not change your rights in your own inputs and generated files.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is supplied on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every purpose or compatible with every external system.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, KKSDev is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including lost opportunities or profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory consumer or privacy rights.
Applicable mandatory law continues to apply. These terms do not require you to give up a right to complain to a regulator or use a court or other remedy available to you under applicable law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect service changes or legal requirements. The date above identifies the version. For material changes affecting existing accounts, we will provide notice where required and request agreement where applicable law requires it. Updated terms do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be changed.
