How to make your CV

CV Maker: useful answers
Is this CV Maker free, including the PDF download?
Yes. Both templates and PDF downloads are free, with no account, subscription or watermark. Your exported CV belongs to you.
Where is my CV saved?
Your inputs are processed in your browser, with automatic draft saving in this browser’s local storage when available. They are not uploaded to Handyfolio. Clearing browser data can delete your draft; use Download draft JSON for a portable copy. Clear your draft after using a shared computer.
Can I edit my CV again later?
Yes. Return in the same browser on the same device to restore your saved draft, or import a Handyfolio draft JSON. The editor does not import PDFs or Word documents. Save a draft copy, then clear the current CV before importing a different one.
Will this CV work with applicant tracking systems?
The PDF uses selectable text, standard section headings and embedded fonts. Ledger keeps a simple single-column reading order. Hiring systems differ, so follow the employer’s requested format and check any parsed fields after uploading. We do not assign an ATS score or guarantee screening results.
Can I use another language or add a photo?
The current templates use a font with Latin and Cyrillic coverage. Unsupported characters are flagged and PDF download is blocked until they are resolved. Right-to-left scripts and photos are not supported in this version.
