QR CODE GENERATOR / A PRACTICAL GUIDE
Make a QR code people can scan
Create website, email and WhatsApp codes and test the final printed or shared result.
Choose the destination
Use a full HTTPS website address, an email address or a WhatsApp number with its international country code. Review the destination text before generating. WhatsApp numbers use digits only, without the plus sign or spaces.
Keep the code clear
The generator uses dark square modules on white with a quiet zone around them. Keep that border when placing the image in a design. PNG works for screen sharing; SVG scales for print. Longer messages make denser codes.
Test before sharing
Scan the downloaded code with a phone at the size you intend to use. Check the destination, not just whether the camera recognises a QR code. These are static codes: their encoded content does not change after download and there is no Handyfolio scan analytics or redirect service.
An example to work from
Website: https://example.com/contact Email: [email protected] WhatsApp: 447700900123 with the message “Hello, I would like to know more.”
Before you finish
Test from a second device, retain the white border and re-export if the destination changes.
